ABOUT THE COMPANY

The Jim Bunting Dance Company was Founded in 2015 by Jim Bunting, who sought to celebrate movement and connect to audiences through the use of imagery that is both personally and universally identifiable. Since its inception, the company has created works using various techniques, spanning over many genres, and styles of dance. this VERSATILITY is accompanied by a strong sense of character, artistry, and passion. We wish to offer our community dance that celebrates our unique cultural identities and individuality as people while simultaneously invigorating the minds and souls of our audiences.

The Company kicked off in 2015 with the premiere of its 1st full length production of “The Shaman’s Dream” at the Mandell Theater in Philadelphia. The company has performed at the Capitale in New York City for the School of Visual Arts’ Annual Holiday Party, the Philadelphia Art Museum's Friday After 5 Series, Kun Yang Lin’s “InHale Performance Series”,  “The 2016 Henri David’s Halloween The Ball.”,  "The Koresh Artist Showcase", "The Koresh Come Together Festival",  the "2017 and 2023 Philadelphia Fringe Festival", The "Philly Raw Artists" events at The Trocadero in 2018, The Concourse Bar in 2024, and Project Moshen's "Excerpts" benefitting the Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation at the Performance Garage in 2023 and 2024
